Pair of Hand Painted Italian Faience Harvest Wheat Pitchers Pippo Cetona
Finely hand thrown and painted pair of faience studio pottery pitchers painted with wheat designs. The pitchers are marked "Pippo Cetona". Pippo is the name of the potter, Pippo Cicerchia of Laboratoria Ceramiche Pippo (his son Franco now runs the business). Cetona is the name of a town south of Siena.
The pitchers are 7 1/2 inches tall. They weigh 2 lbs 8 oz each (shipping weight 8 lbs the pair).
Condition: Very good. No wear or damage save for one tiny rim glaze frit, as common to tin glazed earthenware, aka faience. Please view the detail photos.
