Ralph Stevenson Antique Dark Blue Staffordshire Panoramic Scenery Plate c 1825

Offered for sale is this early dark blue transfer printed pearlware plate by Ralph Stevenson (1810-1835) of Cobridge, Staffordshire. The subject of this plate has been identified as Donemark Mill, Ireland. The plate is from the R.Hall's Panoramic Scenery series of British views. The plate has printed and impressed marks on the reverse.

The plate is 8 inches wide. It weighs 9 oz (shipping weight 1 lbs).

Condition: Excellent. No cracks or repairs, no chips or wear, no stains. No crazing of the glaze, quite unusual on antique earthenware. The usual stilt marks and glaze bubbles of early production. The short white stripe in the left of center is a transfer skip, not a scratch. Please see the detail photos.
