Antique Staffordshire Fox Hunt at the Kill Stoneware Pitcher circa 1815
Offered for sale is this fine Staffordshire stoneware pitcher with applied decoration and engine turned decoration. The pattern is "Fox Hunt at the Kill" very popular around 1810 - 1820. The fox hunt scene and rim are glazed in blue with cream figures; the engine-turned bands are left bisque. Glazed interior. No maker's mark. Circa 1815.
The pitcher is 5 1/4 inches tall. It weighs 1 lb 7 oz (shipping weight 3 lbs).
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. There is a slight firing separation at the top of the handle join, as shown. Please see the detail photos.
