A fine antique Staffordshire brown transferware plate in the "Oxford" pattern from the series "English Cities" by Enoch Wood & Son (1818 - 1846) of Burslem Staffordshire. Printed maker's mark on the reverse. The color of this plate is brown on a cream colored background. Circa 1835

The plate is 10 1/2 inches wide. It weighs 1 lb 3 oz (shipping weight 2 lbs).

Condition: Excellent save for slight staining on the back, as shown. Little wear, fine clear crazing of the glaze.
