Offered for sale is this oval flow blue platter trimmed with gold. It is in the desirable "Touraine" pattern. This pattern was manufactured by Henry Alcock & Co in the 1890s and early 1900s, then by Stanley Pottery in the 1920s and 1930s. This platter is marked "Touraine Henry Alcock & Co England" and has a British registration number of 329815, which indicates that the pattern was introduced in 1898. It dates to circa 1900.
The platter is 16 5/8 inches long by 11 5/8 inches wide. It weighs 3 lbs 12 oz (shipping weight 6 lbs).
