Offered for sale is this fine cauliflower majolica teapot by Griffen Smith Hill. It dates to circa 1880. Impressed Griffen Smith and Hill mark on the base.
The teapot is 5 1/2 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide from spout to handle. The teapot weighs 1 lb 5 oz (shipping weight 2 lbs).
Condition: Good. No chips, no cracks save for a small hairline in the lid, as shown, and overall crazing of the glaze. There are some small spots of glaze loss on edges, such as the tip of the spout and the edge of the lid rim. Please view the detail photos.
