Framed Victorian Horse Bus Omnibus Die Cut on Silk 1880

  • $75.00

Used since the 1820s through the early 1900s, the horsebus was a common form of urban transport found in most major cities throughout the world. When cheap steel became readily available, the horsebuses were converted to horsecars (or trams if you are European). Here a Victorian horsebus is represented in a large period "die cut".

This very large and detailed Victorian diecut, framed under glass with a silk background and silk matting in a period wooden frame. It dates to the 1880s.

Condition excellent, save for some minor color losses to the upper part of the die cut. Please see the detail photos.

The image is 12 3/8 inches by 9 inches. The frame is 19 5/8 inches by 15 5/8 inches
Weight: 3 lbs 15 oz (Shipping weight:7 lbs).

A wonderful addition to any Victorian decor.
