Vintage Estrela de Conimbriga Hand Painted Blue Palm Tree Majolica Jar & Plate

Exceptionally handsome handpainted octagonal palm tree covered jar with underplate signed by Estrela de Conimbriga of Portugal. The pieces are heavy majolica, that is, tin-glazed earthenware. The jar is 5 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall; the plate is 8 1/2 inches wide. The set weighs 2 lbs oz (shipping weight 4 lbs).
