Antique Wedgwood Majolica Japonesque Plate 1880

Antique Wedgwood majolica plate, hand-painted with Japanese inspired cherry blossoms, bee and butterfly. Impressed WEDGWOOD mark, along with a date code that dates the plate the 1880, the height of the English craze for all things Japanese.

The plate is 8 3/4 inches wide. It weighs 1 lb 1 oz (shipping weight 2 lbs).

Condition: One tight rim hairline, as shown; visible only from the back. Please see the detail photos. The hairline runs around three o'clock on the first picture, just above the yellow butterfly.
